Trip to the Hunter

About 12 hours after Justin arrives, we are headed up north to Wine Country (Hunter Valley). First stop after we checked in, was the brewery for some beer tasting (below). Nicholas happily took his nap in his stoller, so we were able to sit and relax a bit.

It was our friend Geoff's birthday (and they had already planned on a trip to the Hunter), and as a SURPRISE we went out to dinner with them. We pulled up to where they were staying and had Nicholas knock on the door--it was very funny!

I wish you could see it..but behind Justin is a bachelorette party ...and for a better look, he tookhis cute nephew to the game machine across from them.... :)

Day 2: Gorgeous morning..Nicholas enjoys watching a hole of golf :)

Breakfast!! The chef was very nice to give Nicholas his own fruit salad!!!

Who is this driving?? Yes, we all survived Justin's driving on the other side of the road...he actually did it many times so we could all share while drinking....and he did a GREAT job!

This is McGuigan's as the guys wanted to do a tour of the winery...

This is Tyrrl's--Nicholas and I enjoyed the Brokeback Mountains, while the guys enjoyed about 9 or 10 different wines inside.

This is the pub at Wollombi--about 30k's out of Cessnock...it sounded nice in the book...we had a bit of a rest and decided to go back to Sydney the "other" way to Wisemans Ferry...turned out to be hours of very windy dirt roads...but the highlight was the 2 minute trip on the car ferry to the other side....
