We took a trip to Bath--which is about 100 miles west of London. It is a gorgeous town--especially when the weather is perfect--as you can tell it was with the number of tourists :)
We decided that a picnic was in order for the day instead of waiting in a Que for the Roman Baths (came back later).

Nicholas liked the topiary that looked like flies
Dad and I visited the Roman Baths while Mat entertained Nicholas. This is Britain's only hot spring and we must say the Romans built an amazing temple! The water that flows is still natural hot water..about 114 degree's F! The main pool is about 5ft deep. Definitely a must see if ever visiting!
This is the Bath Abbey (1449) and the last of the great medieval churches of England. Photo taken from Roman Baths...
Dad "cooling" off with a glass of hot spring water...they did cool it down a bit. It's nothing I would bottle, but had to try it.
