We had a big day today as it is Mat's birthday! We celebrated by having a brunch with friends at home: pancakes, eggs, bacon, ham/cheese & turkey croissants, smoked salmon blini's, fruit salad, cheese & crackers and mimosa's! mmmm, and don't forget birthday cake--the best part!
Between 6 kids 5 and under, their parents and Mat's Aunt, we all enjoyed the chocolate cake--even Mel shared hers with Nicholas & Giles :)
Mat LOVED his pressie from us & Grandma. It's an one hour introductory flight lesson which is split into 2 x 30 mins flights. So they take-off & land at a different airport and then do it again to get back.
After everyone left, another family came around to say Happy Birthday later on in the afternoon as they couldn't make it this morning. They stayed for an early dinner--Nicholas and Finlay helped make the mashed potato....
Thanks for the emails, e-cards and the phone calls today--Mat really loved them all and the attention!! xoxo

Oh Geeze, we totally zoned out! Happy Birthday Mat! We did celebrate, however, by going to Barbnaby's for lunch, since some cool friends had gotten us a gift certificate. xoxoxo D, G, Chloe and Misty
