One of the local libraries had a special story time, it was a Firefighter theme. After the firemen read some stories to the children, they then had a demonstration about fire safety and what to do in case your clothes catch on fire. They also had one of the fireman gear up to show the kids what they would look like in case something would happen at home. The fireman crawled through the kids and they were able to touch the helmet and mask--Nicholas on the other hand was safely in my lap--soooo not interested :)
After the story and demonstration, we were able to go outside to have a look at Engine #1.
