We visited a property near Bristol today and spent most of the afternoon exploring the extensive grounds and house (not to mention a leisurely lunch and then by chance it was afternoon tea time with scones/cream/jam and we just couldn't pass it up!).
Nicholas had a ball rolling down any hill he could find to get to the mansion and gardens. This is a huge late 17th century mansion--apparently the movie Remains of the Day was filmed here.
