Today we spent the day with Thomas, Emily, the Fat Controller and their friends at a local railway station. Thomas was definitely the main attraction of the day! We all had a great time and loved seeing how excited all the children were in seeing the trains..many were singing the Thomas song while riding and talking about who's who. We didn't tell Nicholas where we were going, so he was very very excited!
The Fat-Controller was keeping an eye on Thomas and greeting everyone as we alighted from the train.
It was very cool to get up so close to Thomas and Emily!
The other train that we rode was Emily. Her first car was very plush--and Nicholas said that the seats were very comfy as he put it!
We had a picnic lunch and watched Emily go up and down the track and waved at everyone on the train.

Thomas looks like so much fun. The closest he came to us was Iowa. Jeff didn't want to travel that far to see a train. Maybe we'll have to go next year!
